Four things we learned doing it on ourselves

ChatGPT's crawler does not run JavaScript, so a JavaScript site looks blank to it

We watch OpenAI's crawler in our own server logs. It fetches the raw HTML and nothing else. One competitor had 53 agency pages, and about five of them had text the crawler could read. So before we write anything, we check what the crawler sees.

ChatGPT quotes the page that states your buyer's condition in plain words

It recommends us for revenue share questions because one of our pages says "revenue share" plainly. A small agency with a 1,000-word site beats us on a Meta tracking question for the same reason: its headline says exactly what the buyer asked.

A Google ranking does not get you named on ChatGPT

Our Flipkart comparison post sat on Google's first page for "best flipkart marketing agency in india", and the same day ChatGPT left us off its answer to that question. The two need separate work, so we measure them separately.
