Myntra ads agency: when should a fashion brand hire one?

A fashion brand should hire a Myntra ads agency only when it can see returns per style and sells on more than one platform. What the agency runs, what it cannot fix, and five questions to ask first.

A fashion brand should hire a Myntra ads agency when it sells on Myntra and at least one other platform, and when it can already see its return rate for each style. If you have a few styles and one marketplace, run Product Listing Ads yourself. The agency runs the ads. It does not fix a size chart that makes buyers send the order back.

Product Listing Ads are self-serve, so the first month needs no agency

Product Listing Ads are the format you buy yourself in the Myntra Partner Portal. You set bids and budgets and pay per click. New sellers pay a one-time Growth Enablement Charge of ₹15,000 or ₹25,000, taken from payouts and given back as ad credits. Myntra does not publish this policy on an open page, so confirm your amount in the portal.

Spend those credits on a handful of styles you already believe in. A brand that does this for four weeks learns more than any agency pitch can tell it.

Portal ROAS counts orders that come back

The ROAS in the portal is worked out on orders when they are placed. In fashion a large share of them are returned, and each return costs you shipping and earns nothing.

The number to manage is ROAS on kept orders: portal ROAS multiplied by one minus your return rate. A 5x ROAS at a 35% return rate is 3.25x. At a 30% margin after fees, your break-even is about 3.3x. That campaign looks healthy in the portal and loses money.

Hire when you cannot see ROAS on kept orders per style

This is the clearest reason to pay for help. If your team cannot say which styles lose money after returns, an agency that reports kept-order ROAS per style gives you something you do not have today.

Ask any agency to show you one report in that format before you sign. If they only show portal ROAS, you are buying the same number you can read yourself.

Hire when one budget has to be split across Myntra, Amazon and Flipkart

The same style on three platforms needs one plan for where each rupee goes. Someone has to compare the platforms on profit per kept order. That is the case where one team running all of it earns its fee, because a Myntra-only agency will argue for more Myntra spend.

Plan the sale weeks before they start

Myntra's biggest sales, the End of Reason Sale and the festive Big Fashion Festival, pull in far more buyers and raise click prices. Get discounted styles in stock two to three weeks before, hold budget back for the sale days, and use the quiet weeks to find the styles that convert. An agency should give you this calendar in the first month.

Five questions to ask a Myntra ads agency

  1. Can you show ROAS on kept orders for each style, next to the portal number?
  2. Which formats do you run for us? Product Listing Ads only, or banners and sale packages too, which Myntra's own team sells.
  3. Is your fee written as a separate line from the ad budget?
  4. Do you run catalogue, pricing and stock, or only the ads?
  5. When did you last tell a brand to spend less on Myntra?

What we run and what it costs

We run Myntra ads for fashion brands and report ROAS on kept orders per style. Our plan is a fixed fee of ₹25,000 a month plus GST, which is half our usual rate, plus 5% to 10% of marketplace revenue, set per brand. That fee covers ads on every platform we run for you. Additional services cost extra. The other option is a monthly retainer. See how Myntra ads work and how our revenue share works.
