Instamart ads · Answer
The short answer
Instamart ads let a brand pay to show its products on Swiggy Instamart: in search results, on category pages and in banners on the home screen. SW Cybernetics, an agency, says the advertising is managed through Swiggy's brand solutions team and is not self-serve. It quotes Rs 2 to Rs 12 per click for sponsored listings with a Rs 15,000 minimum. We run Instamart ads for D2C brands, ads only, not catalogue, pricing, stock or dark-store availability.
SW Cybernetics lists five formats: sponsored product listings, banner ads, a brand store, promotional placements and a full brand takeover (SW Cybernetics, guide updated April 2026). Sponsored listings sit in search results and category pages. Banners sit on the home screen and category landing pages.
The same guide says Instamart advertising is not self-serve and runs through Swiggy's brand solutions team. We have not read Swiggy's own terms, so treat the formats and prices on this page as an agency's description and confirm them with Swiggy.
SW Cybernetics quotes Rs 2 to Rs 12 per click for sponsored listings with a minimum of Rs 15,000, a banner CPM of Rs 80 to Rs 200 with a minimum of Rs 25,000, and a promotional placement minimum of Rs 20,000. The guide also lists a brand store at Rs 50,000 to Rs 2,00,000 a month.
These are agency figures for ad spend, read on 7 October 2026. They are not Swiggy's price list. Your agency fee is a separate line, and ad spend is never part of it.
Sponsored listings pay off first because the shopper is already searching. Pick the few products that sell without ads and are reliably in stock at the dark stores. An ad for a product the store cannot supply spends the click and loses the order.
Quick commerce shoppers buy fast, so part of every ad order would have come anyway. Compare paid and organic orders for the same product and week, and put more money behind the products that add orders on top of organic sales. A pilot of several weeks on a handful of products gives a cleaner read than a one-week test.
Some agencies sell Instamart as a full channel: catalogue, pricing, inventory and dark-store availability, plus ads. Others sell only the ads. Both exist, and a brand should know which it is buying.
We run the ads and the reporting. We do not run catalogue, pricing, inventory or availability, and we say so before you sign. We work on a monthly retainer, or on revenue share, where the fixed fee is 50% of our usual rate plus 5% to 10% of marketplace revenue.
