Flipkart marketing · Answer

What are the FBF charges on Flipkart?

The short answer

Fulfilment by Flipkart charges you to store, pick, pack and ship from Flipkart's own warehouses, so the fees replace rather than add to what you were paying to self-ship. The stack is storage charged by space and time, a pick and pack fee per unit, and a fulfilment or shipping component. Whether it is cheaper than shipping yourself depends almost entirely on how fast your stock moves.

What you are actually paying for

Storage is billed on the space your inventory occupies and how long it sits there, so slow stock is charged repeatedly for the privilege of not selling.

Pick and pack is charged per unit dispatched and scales with the size of the item. Flipkart handles the shipping leg.

Current rate cards live in Seller Hub and are revised, so treat any figure quoted on a blog, including the ranges other sites publish, as indicative only. It is not your number.

FBF versus non-FBF is a stock turn decision

Fast moving inventory rarely sits long enough for storage to hurt, and it gains the dispatch speed and the badge that come with sitting inside Flipkart's network. That combination usually shows up as better conversion on the same listing.

Slow moving or seasonal stock is the opposite case. Storage accrues while nothing sells, and a category that only moves during event weeks can spend eleven months paying rent.

Split the catalogue instead. There is no rule that says every SKU has to be fulfilled the same way.

How to apply for FBF on Flipkart

The application is made from Seller Hub, and onboarding covers the warehouse allocation, the inbound shipment plan and the labelling requirements your stock has to meet before it is accepted.

The step worth preparing properly is the inbound plan. A rejected or partially accepted shipment costs you a return leg and puts the stock out of action during the window you sent it in for.
